My disability is called Moebius Syndrome. This is a rare birth defect that effects the 6th and 7th cranial
nerve. Even though I have a great sense of humor, I am not able to smile due to some facial paralaysis.
If you would like to know more about Mobius Syndrome ,just go to Google.
I also have a slight speech
impediment, and learning disability. A state run agency called Families First reunited my biological
mom and I back in february 2005.
I lived with her for 2 years after we were reunited. The 1st year,
I lived with her in Nashville, Tn. Then we both moved to Carrollton, where I lived with her for another
year.
She moved up to the north Ga Mountains in Hiawassee in February 07. I moved in with my half brother
& remained here in Carrollton. My mom gave me her 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis after we were reunited.
She asked me to save money up to maintain it, and to pay part of the insurance on it.
She co-signed
on a loan for me to buy the car from her. She is helping me build up credit ,which I never had. Update
on the car; an old man ran the light and wrecked the car.
I no longer have the car. The insurance paid
off what I owed, and I now have a little scooter.I was adopted by a former nun who adoped and reared
11 disabled children including me.
I was taken in by Dorothy Miller, who eventually adopted me. Dorothy
Miller died back on june 16th, 2000. If you go to Google and type or copy & paste in "Dorothy Miller
dies cared for disabled children" it should be the very 1st item is search results.
Also in another
search, type "Dorothy Miller, Elaine Clark Center, People Making Progress". In the last search type
in "The Georgia Bulletin, Youth With Disabilities Get Chance To Join World" There, you will learn a
lot more about me and the lady who adopted me.
I only had one girlfriend in my whole life. Its been
more than a decade ago. We went to the same High school. She invited me to our high school prom. We
only were together for a few months until she found another boyfr A decent woman who would consider
a guy with disabilities.
I'm looking for a friend to start out with and go from there.
